Bike Club was launched in London in 2017, and today, it is the largest subscription provider of children's bikes in the UK and Germany. Parents can rent out premium lightweight bikes for their children and exchange them for a larger size as the child grows. But what’s exciting is that these bikes are mostly refurbished now, per the customers’ demands. This not only allows to use the bike repeatedly but also reduces waste and costs for manufacturing a new one, thereby offering sustainability / Tech.eu

2023’s Best Places to Bike / People For Bikes
While cycling is a more economical, sustainable, and efficient mode of mobility in an urban environment, it needs a lot more contemplation when you go out there to buy a bike, and you are a novice as well. Here is a comparison between an electric bike, i.e., the Trek Dual Sport+ 2, and a non-assisted one, i.e., the Trek Dual Sport 2 Equipped Gen 5. Both bikes offer distinguished features, but which is the right choice for you solely depends on the length of your commute, the type of terrain you ride on, and your budget / Bike Radar
Product Launches & Updates
Thomas Ricker, a deputy editor and co-founder of Verge, reviewed the latest electric bikes from Amsterdam-based Veloretti and declared them his favorite rides of the year. Veloretti’s new Ace Two and step-thru Ivy Two e-bikes are furnished with a 250W mid-drive motor, a 540Wh removable battery, a carbon CDX simple belt drive, and smoother automatic shifting, unlike the VanMoof S5. Another plus point is that the company used off-the-shelf parts, making it easier to repair or replace them at any bike shop. With all these desirable features, these e-bikes might become the next big thing in the e-bike market! / The Verge
Spectre may be Rolls-Royce’s first fully electric car – a deviation from the luxury brand’s turbine-like V-12 gasoline engines and the sheer excellence while offering combustion-engine smoothness – but it certainly does not lose the essence of what a true Rolls-Royce is about. The interior is spacious, the range is not over-the-top, i.e., about 300 miles and the charging is also not bidirectional. In short, it’s a delightfully simple EV, but what it serves in craftsmanship, comfort, and quiet makes it more than worthy of being a Rolls-Royce / Green Car Reports
Peugeot Cycles has revealed its upcoming line of electric bikes, containing innovative features that endorse family and heavy cargo mobility. The French bicycle manufacturer introduced three e-bikes; the Digital e-Bike, which boasts a minimalistic, futuristic design, the Digital e-Longtail, which supports an elongated rear with 2 seats for children and finally, the Digital e-Front Load is a cargo bike having an extended front wheelbase fitting for carrying up to 3 children / Carscoops
Taking into account its riders' requests for a more relaxed riding posture, Cowboy’s latest e-bike, the Cruiser, has been built to have a Dutch-style riding position. While retaining all the other features the Classic has, the Cruiser offers extra comfort by redesigning the saddle to be wider, curved handlebars with an upright sitting position for riders and an increased gear ratio. What’s more, it is sporting the classic Cowboy colors, black and tan, with an introductory price tag of £2,690. / Tech.eu
Ridehailing, Carsharing & Delivery
DoorDash has come up with some exciting updates for its couriers! One of them is the “earn by time” option through which couriers can earn a guaranteed hourly minimum rate for the time they spend on making deliveries. The clock will begin when a courier takes an order and stop when it is delivered, claims DoorDash. Moreover, the company is also launching a location-sharing function that allows couriers to communicate their current position with up to five contacts, ensuring their safety while making deliveries / The Verge
Amazon announced on Monday, 3rd July, that it has started distributing its customized electric delivery vehicles around Europe from Rivian. Being Rivian’s debut commercial shipment of vans outside the United States, initially, 300 vans will be sent out to Munich, Berlin, and Dusseldorf in the coming weeks. This recent development is part of Amazon’s commitment to become a net-zero carbon delivery service by 2040 / TechCrunch
Zedify seeks to build a UK-wide cargo bike logistics network, and after prevailing in more than 10 other UK cities, its next big market is Manchester, England. Aiming to "cover 20% of the nation’s sustainable delivery needs by 2025," the delivery service provider aspires to establish a compelling local presence as well as endorse an environmentally-friendly urban ecosystem in the city. And considering Zedify's potential growth plans across the UK, COO James Nellist is certain that it will become the first national provider to do large volumes of final mile delivery on cargo bikes / ZAGDaily
